Catbridge designs and manufactures highly-productive nonwovens
converting machinery ranging from slitter rewinders to unique process lines and
meltblown manufacturing lines. Loaded with features for better yield and
quality, our machinery is ideal for applications such as filters, wipes,
hygiene products, and building products.
Our machines are designed to improve output and handle the specific
requirements of nonwovens. All equipment incorporates advanced tension control
systems to meet the most demanding material tension requirements. Specialized
features can be integrated into “unique to the product” webflows, enabling
successful converting of innovative new materials from lightweight extensibles
to heavier nonwovens. Furthermore, our machines offer time-saving technologies.
For example, our continuous winders offer automatic cutoff and transfer as well
as innovative loading and unloading systems, and our slitter rewinders offer
features such as patented automatic knife placement.
Our machines also provide ease of operation and safety. We
maximize ergonomic friendliness for repetitive tasks and provide intuitive,
user-friendly controls. To aid operations, we can incorporate camera systems to
inspect materials and/or observe all process functions from a single location. And
like all Catbridge designs, SAFETY is a priority. We offer tailored safety
systems utilizing risk-analysis-driven components such as light curtains,
gates, laser scanners, and perimeter guarding, all managed by a safety PLC, to
maximize safety while minimizing operator inconvenience.
Our complete line of nonwovens converting machinery includes
stand-alone slitter rewinders, continuous winders for process lines,
conventional and turret unwinds, and perforators. Popular models include the
Model 205 and Model 210 surface slitter rewinders, the Model 401 continuous
surface winder, and the Model 324 turret winder.
We also build coating and laminating lines optimized for
your exact requirements. These process lines include ultrasonic lines as well
as two- and three-ply spray laminating systems. Our new three-ply laminating
system, good for nonwoven filtration products, attaches substrates to both
sides of a coated web in a single pass, eliminating production steps. For best
results, we engineer an effective web path for each individual process line and
carefully select and integrate top-quality components.
Moreover, we build meltblown production lines. Our unique
die design yields very small and very consistent fibers for demanding filtration
applications. We offer a compact, easy-to-install BMF production line that can also
be used as a lab line for fine-tuning new products and processes. Additionally,
we offer a larger multi-die production line. Unwinds can be added to our lines to
make composite webs. Our ability to incorporate other functions into a
meltblown line via customized, product/process driven webflows enables you to
get your innovative new products to market efficiently.
